background

Julie Primozich is an award-winning print designer and art director, with extensive experience in creative strategy development and managing teams of creative professionals. She has been a college art instructor, and brings her fine art knowledge of mediums and techniques to graphic recording to truly transform the work through vivid color and a variety of imagery.

Julie is an experienced supervisor who has managed groups and led teams of creative professionals in producing high volumes of work in both the corporate cable industry and the non-profit higher education environment. She finds joy in enhancing creative communication environments through the practice of graphic recording.

A native Coloradan, she studied painting and illustration at both Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design and Metropolitan State College of Denver (MSCD), and has taught illustration at MSCD. Her abstract landscapes have been featured in several local galleries and her commissioned paintings hang in homes across the Front Range and in the Rocky Mountains.

Her illustrative work explores human eccentricities and utilizes humor and whimsy to capture an idea. The use of saturated color creates a vibrant palette. Her illustrations are a montage of activity that flow in capricious and connecting ways. “I like to fill the space with as many images as possible to tell the story, which is very different from my paintings, where I force as little as possible and let the viewer interpret their own story.”
